Colourful Rock
Location: Shorncliffe, Queensland, Australia
I really like the swirls of colour in this rock found at the geological study site on the eastern-most section of coastline at Shorncliffe. The site is known for the variety of different rock formations that all occur close together.

Location: Shorncliffe, Queensland, Australia
I found this rock that had some interesting patterns on it at the geological study site at Shorncliffe. I wish I had a better understanding of geology so I could explain why it looks the way it does, but for now I can only share a picture.

Water Filled Crevice In The Rock
Location: Shorncliffe, Queensland, Australia
A small, water filled crevice in the rocks at the geological study site at Shorncliffe. I'd imagine that this crevice is filled by seawater, perhaps during king tides as it was quite high up.
